C++ :: How To Calculate And Apply All Char Combinations

how to write a password cracking program that will try all possible char combinations for just two chars (without duplicating any combination guesses). Obviously, there would only be 4 possible truth table combinations for two boolean values, but how would a person calculate the number of all possible combinations for two values with 70 different possible chars?
Note that there are 70 chars in all specified above.
It will require much more than a simple truth table to try every possible char combination (especially if the password to be cracked is 2 or more chars). Using this guy's code: [URL] ..... as a starting point, I'm writing a program that will crack a password with a length of just 2 chars.
I am trying to do a simple calculation. I just started C++ and learning about decisions. My program should calculate number of tickets and apply discount based on the number of tickets purchased. It will only execute one of the decisions.

How do you use char instead of unsigned to calculate numbers? This is using char only and nothing else.
Step 1: I ask the user to enter a number. Step 2: User enters a number. Step 3: Number user entered is going to be that number squared or cubed or w/e.
For example; "Enter a number: " 3 " Number you entered multiplied four times: " 81 (Since (3)*(3)*(3)*(3) = 81)
Another example; "Enter a number: " 5 " Number you entered multiplied four times: " 625 (Since (5)*(5)*(5)*(5) = 625)

I am Trying to make my program read 10 integers from a user-named file using arrays, but I encountered logic error because the calculations turns out to be wrong. my question is, Am I supposed to use arrays with files? if so, What is wrong? it runs fine but only the calculation is WAY OFF!

I was trying to put mutex lock on shared memory but my code is not working. What I want is that if some process is putting something on shared memory segment, other process should not be able to access that segment. For testing , I create a server program which put data in shared memory and client program which access the data.
To test it, I put break point after:
pthread_mutex_lock(&(init_lock));
But I see that client program was able to access shared memory.

A few days ago I got a "bright idea" to see if I could match a string, with an arbitrary length from 1 to 12, to its formulated sequence by using an algorithm to find all possible combinations of the integer combinations from 0 to 9 at each length (1 to 12).
Example: Desired numerical combinations from integers 1 to 3:
And so on until the nth length (in my case a length of 12).
First off, I would like to say that this is not as easy as I thought. I clearly underestimated the problem seeing as I've spent hours attempting to write a working algorithm, but feel like I've made no progress.
I can't exactly explain this one. It works if the length is 2 or less; however, the order of the output is horrendous.
Attempt 3: I tried using recursion, but only found myself getting more and more lost the further I tried developing my function. Cannot find my work for this attempt.

How to get all the possible combinations for 4 digits from a 5 digit number. I need a pair that has both 5 digits and four digits. their sum must be equal to a five digit user input. i.e.

The first line of my input file is going to contain some number "T" which will represent the "combination length" of a list of random words. (In this case, they are Taco Bell items). The first number on the second line represents the number of unique items on the menu to get, and the second number on the second line represents the number of unique items that are supposed to be bought.
Basically the input will look like this: 2 3 2 taco burrito nacho

What I am trying to get working right now is just to scan a file and put the strings into an array so then I can work on sorting the array. How can I add strings from a file into an array?
I've been experimenting a bit and can't find a decent way to make a brute forcing script that accepts a password from standard input, and goes through all possible combinations until it is matched. How to structure the code?
The code below will generate combinations of numbers from 1 to 25 in an 15 numbers array. The only filter I've applied is that the sum of all the numbers in the vectors divided by 15 needs to be between 13 and 14. I would like to count how many consecutive numbers there are in one combination, so that later i can apply another filter.. for example:
I've made a code to check whether or not a save file has been created correctly, but for some reason it always returns this line: readdata[qa]=='1' as true. in which qa is the counter I use in a for loop and readdata is a character array consisting of 50 characters that are either 0, 1 or 2.

I am trying to concatenate two words from a file together. ex: "joe" "bob" into "joe bob". I have provided my function(s) below. I am somehow obtaining the terminal readout below. I have initialized my memory (I have to use dynamic, dont suggest fixing that). My file will read in to my tempfName and templName and will concatenate correctly into my tempName, but I am unable to correctly get into my (*playerPtr).name.

I have a file which contains a year and the name of an associated file to be read. I need to extract the data in the txt file and perform some calculations.
( year data file) 2004 2004data.txt 2005 2005data.txt 2006 2006data.txt
Here is what I do. I first declare "char yeardata" and then pass "2004data.txt" to it. Then I call yeardata in ifstream to extract the data inside the file "2004data.txt". The problem is that char yeardata is not constant so I cannot pass the file to it. It doesn't work if I change "char yeardata" to "const char yeardata".
