C++ :: Delete Files With Same Size

So, i got a directory full of files. Some files are duplicate and i'd like to delete those duplicate files. The only way to recognize duplicate files is their size. So how would i delete them?

I have a program that makes a directory (temporary) and in it some files that are necessary for computation while program is running. Now suppose a user decides to interrupt the program at some stage. what happens is that the program stops but my folder and files remain.
Q: How to override SIGINT command so that before the the execution stops the folder is deleted ?

I want my program to be able to read text files in the format:
number number
number number
number number...
and so on, so there are two columns of values. The problem I'm having is, there are a lot of numbers in the file, and it can vary. The program needs to read the numbers, put one column into one array, and the other in another, perform some operations on it all, and eventually pop out two different arrays. In other words, after I've got these arrays, I don't need them for much longer. I was hoping I could dynamically allocated some arrays to store the numbers and just free them as soon as I'm done with them.
If the file wasn't of such variable size or if it was guaranteed to be under a certain number of variables, I would have used:

The problem is I want to allocate "no_rows" as the array size, which I don't have until after I have read the file.

I have an idea which i will try to implement in C++,I want to compress file size through making my own numbering system which is 80-based number, I do really want to know whether this even possible ? I learnet that Hexadecimal uses symbols like A, B, C, D, E, F to represent 10,11,12,13,14,15 -- and that's what i want to do to my own numbering system but in a bigger scale .if possible: How can i use C++ to open a file in Hex mode ?

I have to manage a Clinic. I need to delete a booking (for example, if John said he's coming on March 22nd at 15:30 but then he say he's not going to come, I have to delete that booking so another person can use it).
idSearched: the id of the person that is not going to come. I have a lot of specialties and each one has a list. So I ask for the speciality to delete the node (the node contains John's booking). If I don't find it, I return (-1). searchSpecByID return a pointer to the list where the speciality is. So head will point to the first node of the list. In nodeToDelete I have the node I want to delete.
The program detects OK when is the first in the list and when not, but it doesn't delete the node.

I must take an old MFC project in VC++ 6.0 and make changes.
The problem is text size in screen is different from size in print preview.
for example with this font

comparing with screen size the height is bigger but lenght is smaller. I don't understand.
I can understand that different printers process the fonts in different way and then to have different lenghts. That's not the problem. The problem is I need to simulate in screen the same behaviour i will have on printer because these texts are being aligned in the document, and I don't want to see that the text si aligned different in text than in paper.
What can I do to render the text on screen with the same size I will have on the printer? Print preview is doing it. Should I change the font parameters? is something related with pixels per inch?

I was wondering why, in C, the sizeof of a struct is larger than the the sum of all the sizeofs of it's members. It only seems to be by a few bytes, but as a bit of a perfectionist I fine this a bit annoying.

I am writing a piece of code that requires me to display the last 1000 lines from a multiple text files (log files). FYI, I am running on Linux and using g++.
I have a log file from which - if it contains more than 1000 lines, I need to display the last 1000 lines. However, the log file could get rotated. So, in case where the current log file contains less than 1000 lines, I have to go to older log file and display the remaining. For e.g., if log got rotated and new log file contains 20 lines, I have to display the 980 lines from old log file + 20 from current log files.
What is the best way to do this? Even an outline algorithm will work.

I am beginner with C++ and I want to know. When do I use new and delete keywords? And what can I use them to do? Only thing I know about the new keyword and delete is that you can do this:

I'm writing a sorted vector implementation and trying to do it as simply as possible.
Right now, I'm declaring the sorted vector with a protected subclass of vector, then using the "using" keyword to explicitly inherit all methods that aren't related to adding new elements to the vector (so I can control the order).
Eg:

Obviously, this is annoyingly redundant. So what I'd like to do is something using the new "delete" keyword from C++11. Is there any quick, expressive way of deleting specific methods?
Also, it's pretty annoying to have to typedef base_class::type type to inherit a type from a base class. Is there a shorter way to do that?

how to delete an element(s) from an array; suppose I have an array x[10] = {1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10}, and I want to delete array{5} so that the values of the array become {1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10}; how do I go about this? This is not the same as setting the value of array{5} to null; but completely eliminating it so that it does not get printed alongside the other elements of the screen.

And it don't works at all. all i get (when playing with variations of this stuff until it compiles correctlly) is a memory leak.
For example, let say i have b1 address = 1234
I will effectively free the memory at 1234, but for a strange reason, the memory leak is elsewhere, for example, at 2345, and the memory value at this address is equal to... 1234, the address of the pointer i wanted to delete.
