C# :: Custom Dialog Resizer With Aspect Lock CheckBox
Jan 20, 2015
I am working on a paint program (already quite well developed) and I have a 'Resize' option in my Menu. When pressed it activates a custom dialog for resizing the image with 2 numeric up/downs to adjust width and height. It all works perfectly. But I want to include an 'Aspect Lock' checkBox like a professional program would have. It should immediately change both values as you adjust either one.
Here's where I am totally stumped! Of course I have tried and tried various codes, but nothing works properly. My values jump erratically or won't change at all. I wonder if trying to change the value of one numeric up/down while inside the code block for changing the value of the other one has got them screwing with each other somehow. Any example code that could accomplish what I'm trying to do?
When I try to resize my form, every time i try to resize it while running, the window blinks between original size and the new size it was given, when i release the mouse it either stay in its new size or shrinks back to its original size, What makes it return to its original size, maybe its something with the form_Resize function..
Ok so I'm working with a windows form in C# and sql server database. I'm trying to do something like what is in the image below using a datagridview. My question is how do I 1) ensure only 1 checkbox is checked per row 2) do math that 'links' a checkbox column with another column, and add the totals. I understand that asp.net and web forms would be easier but we have not reached that point in the course yet. Would this be on the right track:
foreach (DataGridViewRow row in dataGridView.Rows) { if ((bool)(row.Cells["Checkbox"]).Value || (CheckState)row.Cells["Checkbox"].Value == CheckState.Checked) { // Do something } } Attached image(s)
I'm using winforms and I want to set a checkbox on a dropdown menu item, but I don't know how to access the dropdown menu items.
I know ToolStripMenuItem items are attached to ContextMenuStrip items but I'm not sure how to navigate into the ToolStripMenuItem section to read/set those menu items.
ToolStripMenuItem listbox_font_size; cmsListBox = new ContextMenuStrip(); cmsListBox.Items.Clear();
For a larger program I need a way to tell if a "lock knob" is going clockwise or counterclockwise. So below, I have my MoveLock function (That our teacher actually gave us to use) that reads inputs from the arrow keys and displays them. But what I need is to be able to count each time its moved in the correct direction and to reset the count it if it has gone in the other. Right now I'm just testing if it's going clockwise. I thought to solve this by resetting the count if it was less than the returned value from MoveLock (which is a count to compare to the former). Currently, it only displays the current position and the count as -1 or 1.
I was trying to put mutex lock on shared memory but my code is not working. What I want is that if some process is putting something on shared memory segment, other process should not be able to access that segment. For testing , I create a server program which put data in shared memory and client program which access the data.
To test it, I put break point after:
pthread_mutex_lock(&(init_lock));
But I see that client program was able to access shared memory.
Consider how to implement a mutex lock using an atomic hardware instruction. Assume that the following structure defining the mutex lock is available:
Code:
typedef struct { int available; } lock; (available == 0)
indicates that the lock is available, and a value of 1 indicates that the lock is unavailable. Using this struct, illustrate how the following functions can be implemented using the test and set() and compare and swap() instructions:
I am trying to compare performance of different lock-free queues, therefore, I want to create a stress test - which includes pushing/popping user-defined pre-built objects to and from the queue. My question is how can perform the stress test with pushing and popping objects instead of pointers to object like I have done in my code. What is the different in terms of performance of pushing/popping objects Vs. pushing/popping pointers.
I m trying to lock a single skeleton using Microsoft Kinect SDK v 1.7 . My requirements are
•First lock a single skeleton. •Check the tracking state of the of the locked skeleton. •If the tracking state of the locked skeleton is NOT Tracked,then • ----->check for the next closest skeleton •----->lock this skeleton.
How do I do this using vc++2010. The code which i tried is given below.
I've written a doubly linked list per my assignment instructions. I've implemented begin() and end() iterators for it, and they work with no problems when traversing the list. However, I need to sort the elements in the list. We are allowed to use the sort function defined in the <algorithm> header since we haven't yet covered sorting algorithms.
But, I'm running into a ton of problems. I figured as long as the begin() and end() iterators were defined for the list, then sort(list.begin(), list.end(), compare) would do the trick. The main errors I'm getting are:
error: no type named iterator_category error: no type named value_type error: no type named difference_type error: no type named pointer error: no type named reference
And also errors for no match of the + and - operators for the iterator class.
I understand reference, pointer, and value_type, but I have no idea about iterator_category and difference_type. Additionally, I'm a little unsure why the + and - operators need to be overloaded.
MAIN_MENU MENU { POPUP "&Manager" { MENUITEM "New Royal Python", MENU_NEW_ROYAL_PYTHON POPUP "&Select Python" { } } }
I basically want to give the POPUP an ID so I can talk with it but it does not seem to be accepting a second parameter. Once I have done that I need to send a message to it to ask it to add a new item, what are the messages I need to send for this?
I am making a level editor that needs to output a custom map file for use with source code that I will write for a graphics library.
My question is: What do I need to bear in mind when deciding how to structure a custom file type? Also how can I encode a standard bitmap image into my file (the tile set) so that it can all be contained in a single file rather two files; the map file and tile set (.bmp file).
I have begun switching from WinForms to WPF and I'm having a hard time understanding the new concepts. In WinForms, I had a few User Controls, custom drawn using shapes (rectangles, ellipses, etc). They had some unique properties, like "Flashing" (setting this property to True and setting the "Flash Interval" property to 500 would have resulted in the control changing its background color to white and back again, every 0.5 seconds), "Beeping", etc.
I have tried to replicate these controls in WPF/XAML and so far managed to draw the shape. However, when it came to implementing a custom property that would redraw the background color of the rectangle every interval set by user in another property, i got stuck. The property is being set, but it doesn't change the background color. Alternatively, i have tried this method, with the same results (i got it to show in the "Properties" window in Visual Studio, i can set it, it is being stored in XAML, but it doesn't affect the background.
C# code behind: public struct LCARSColors { public static Brush DarkBlue = (Brush)(new BrushConverter().ConvertFrom("#FF3366CC")); public static Brush LightBlue = (Brush)(new BrushConverter().ConvertFrom("#FF99CCFF")); public static Brush Pink = (Brush)(new BrushConverter().ConvertFrom("#FFCC99CC"));

If i use this line (commented in this code sample):
I've done some research and found that people use Mah metro, though I don't want to use that because I want to make a GUI that is fully mine, so I can do what ever I want to customize it to my liking.
I was going through tutorial in WPF on customs Cursor, While Running the application i am getting an exception XamlParseException was unhandled, here the code
public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() {
I have been trying to make a custom control(list box with more features). I know how to setup custom properties, but how do I make it so that the property can be edited in a separate window ?
I think I figured out how to show the form itself, and I don't know how to make the [...] button like :
There's not much Custom Control tutorials out there, and that's really the problem here.
