View 5 RepliesHow to read dll files and i came up with this:
// DLL
Main.h:
#ifndef _MAIN_H_
#define _MAIN_H_
#include <iostream>
#include <stdexcept>
#include <fstream>
_declspec(dllimport) void testfunc( int a );
[Code] .....
Out: testfunc == NULL
What went wrong here?
I've just started using the CImg library and when I try to load a picture with this code:
CImg<unsigned char> image("example.bmp");
It works perfectly. But when I try to type in the image file name using the console it gives me errors. For example, if I try this:
std::string input_file;
std::cin >> input_file;
CImg<unsigned char> image(input_file);
It doesn't work. The way I see it, I should be able type "example.bmp" into input_file and use it but it doesn't work, and gives me the error:
"error: no matching function for call to 'cimg_library::CImg<unsigned char>::CImg(std::string&)"
I have included iostream and string.h.
I am trying to run an OpenCV program from command line, but it gave error like "The program can`t start because opencv_220d.dll is missing from your computer." Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. I am using Windows 7 & Microsoft VC++ 2010. How can I run the program?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a C++ app that uses OpenCV. Currently i am statically linking the OpenCV libs into my app. This is adding an extra overhead of 6+ MB.
i would like to remove some of the features that i am not using in OpenCV. The features am using are,
Capture frames from Webcam.
Face detection.
Image formats (JPEG, PNG).
Image rotation & resizing.
Is it possible to remove other features and trim down the libs?
My C++ app is developed in Visual Studio 2012.

The above code is all I have so far. I got confused when I got to the part where my book on C tells me I need to use the cvCalcOpticalFlowFarneback() function to compare 2 consecutive images from the webcam and create the optical flow, and then measure movement between the frames to detect whether or not a person is moving through the room. How to do this, and the OpenCV wiki wasn't very descriptive on how to set it up for beginners. Honestly, the parameters just confused me and I didn't see a return value listed, or how you would get data from it.
I am trying to switch between 2 states, and the event that determines which state i am in is based on the key i've pressed. So in this case i want the webcam to start automatically, and when key is pressed it then turns it off. The way I've done it is like this :
bool webcam_on() {
int c = 0;
VideoCapture cap(0);
if ( !cap.isOpened() ) // if not success, exit program
[Code] .....
The problem with this method is that cin.get() blocks the video stream.. I wanted something that the webcam turned on until i press some key, which would trigger the release.. How can this be done?

I am a beginner to opencv.
I am currently planning on splitting my image into 3 channels so i can get the RGB values of an image to plot a scatter graph so i can model is using a normal distribtion calculating the covariance matrix, mean, etc. then calculate distance between the background points and the actual image to segment the image.
Now in my first task, i have wrote the following code.
VideoCapture cam(0);
//int id=0;
Mat image, Rch,Gch,Bch;
vector<Mat> rgb(3); //RGB is a vector of 3 matrices
namedWindow("window");
[Code] ....
but as soon as it reaches the split function, i step through it, it causes a unhandled exception error. access violation writing location 0xfeeefeee.
I am still new to opencv, so am not used to dealing with unhandled exception error.
I tried adding items into the vector still error, either via push_back or general assignment i.e. rgb[0] = Rch or Bch still error.

I've been reading about libraries; How to make them, how to use them, the different types of libraries, etc..
When using a shared library, does the program require that library to be installed on the computer after the program has been compiled into an .exe?
Ie.. if somebody downloaded a "Helloworld.exe" that I had compiled on my computer using a shared library (that wasn't part of a standard operating system), would they also need that shared library on their computer for the program to run without errors?
and for Static Libraries, when I compile a program using a static library, does it include in the final binary only the functions of the library that are actually used, or does the compiler add in the entire library?
Let's say I create a small program or just want to open any kind of file on my computer, but I want to run a program that forces the user to enter a password or something (I already know this part). How does one create the code that would open the file?

I have a Visual C++ workspace that has 2 projects (1 exe & 1 DLL). I used Serge Wautier's tutorial [URL] .... to create (multi-language) resource DLLs (satellite DLLs) branching off the exe.
Now I have a collection of strings in the DLL that are shared in other projects. I created a satellite DLL for that DLL but can't figure out how to load it on-demand just like the exe's satellite DLL.
He used:
HINSTANCE hDll = LoadLibrary(szFilename);
AfxSetResourceHandle(hDll);
void CLanguageSupport::UnloadResourceDll() {
if (m_hDll!=NULL) {
SetResourceHandle(AfxGetApp()->m_hInstance); // Restores the EXE as the resource container.
FreeLibrary(m_hDll);
m_hDll= NULL;
}
}
etc etc ... for the unloading/loading satellite DLLs for the exe. But how to do the same for the DLL?
I'm working on a project, and I'm trying to fill in various vectors from a given input file. The input file looks like:
<catalog>
<book id ="bk101">
<author>O'Brien, Tim</author> ....etc
My load vectors function looks like this: void load_vectors(vector<string>&id, vector<string>& author...etc)
I can't assume a limit on the number of books etc listed in this catalog, so I'm using the eof() function. However, I don't know how to write the loop to gather the correct strings and place them in the vectors.
Code: while(in.eof())
{ string text;
int index, index2;
getline(in, text);
int index = text.find("<author>");
int index2 = text.find("</author>");
a = index.lenght();
author.pushback[i] = text.substr(index + a, index2);
}
How to load png files and extract their rgb pixels? Library recomendations?

if(radioButton1->Checked)//Login {

What is going wrong so i try to comment some part to debug. I found that it come form the code
string AC(ACc);
string PW(PWc);
String ^ ACstr;
String ^ PWstr;
MarshalString(ACstr,AC);
MarshalString(PWstr,PW);
I tried to use std::string and System::string when getting data from .dat but it failed so i tried char array.
Ive used a similar approach to extract data from a txt file before, however now it seems to crash when i get to the load, below is the code with a NOTE next to where it crashes. This is homework so no code but just information on why it was working for one dataset but not his new one.
