C/C++ :: Simple Calculator - Clear Screen Following User Input

I am working on a simple calculator in C++ .... All works fine with the calculator up until the requirement for the user to input "do you want to go again y/n" .... What i want to happen is the screen to clear down and reloop to the enter name part....but i can't get it to do that
Program Description: To write and develop a programme where a user can input a cost or price of something before VAT our program must then process the input number and must output the price with the original value plus VAT

How I can let the user input a certain operator into this calculator function?. I would like to use cin to input the operator if possible because it is one of the only input commands I know.

I am doing an assignment that is to calculate the federal tax based on the users input. I am not entirely sure what it is doing, but it is definitely not what I want it to do. I commented out the loops because they seemed to have caused a problem, but there is still problems that are making the program do something else. Here is my code:

Functions just seem like they are not my thing. It never gets to the second function to do the calculations and then return to main to display the results.
I tried changing the code to a switch(status) with a default: at the end that looped the "please try again" but for some reason, that was a fail, it created an endless loop.

I have a one simple question :D. I want to output to the console some symbols. Let's say that i have a loop.
for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++) cou << "* ";
Then I want to output other symbols but I want to overwrite the previous symbols. I know I can use system("cls"); but it blinks if I try to output the same characters. For example if I have:
for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++) cou << "* ";
system("cls");
for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++) cou << "* ";
After I run this code the first loop outputs ten "*". Then there is a blink and there are again ten "*" shown. How can I avoid this blink?

Is there any way I can clear only a selected part of the screen? (I'm aware of system("cls"))
For example, when you enter a date, and is wrong, could it just errase that input and only say "Wrong try again" without errasing everything else you where doing?
In this case, a function that only errases what is in the while

For my C programming module, I've been asked to create a program which is basically a ten question mathematics quiz or test if you like. Below is a copy and paste of my current, working program.

I am also trying to include into my program; If the user achieves 4 or less marks in the test, they are asked if they would like to repeat the test (have a second chance).
I have been asked by my Lecturer to ask the Question; "Would you like to try again" and the response is 'Y' for yes, 'N' for no. Would this be shown by:

scanf(%d%, &Y, &N);
And finally; If the user would like another go, then I am trying to include the code that clears the screen and then reloads the program?
What code is used to clear the screen and no clue what code is written to refresh or reload the program. I assume it's a loop statement or some sort.

I have to create a program that incorporates an array of structures in order to simply read input from the user and then reprint that information to the screen. This is a fairly simple problem, but the issue is that the professor requires that we solve it in a very specific way.
I must have three functions in total: one to receive input from the user, one to print the received values, and of course the main function which calls the other two. Also, the input and output functions must be defined using the following prototypes:
void inputData(Component C1);
void printData(Component *C1);
Where Component is a structure defined above as:

I know that this problem could be easily solved by simply passing the entire 'comp' array to the inputData function, or passing a pointer to it, or having it return a pointer, but I am not allowed to do any of these things. I must use the function as defined by the prototype.

I'm making a simple calculator and have done it all right where you can input everything, all the functions are there, but when i run the program it will come to displaying the result and it will always equal zero, I just need it to say 8+8 = 16 rather than 8+8 = 0, i don't know whether its just displaying the results as 0, or not displaying it at all, the code will follow below:

So I'm trying to make a derivative calculator that can do simple polynomial calculations in a very specific way. If you read the cout line you'll understand rather quickly.

I have a problem with my simple operations calculator code (using C, in Code::Blocks). I am required to use a while loop statement so the user can execute multiple step operations without re-opening the program. When I launch the program, I get through the first session fine, but when I'm on the second session, when entering the two operands and press enter (to calculate), it just gives me the return and say press any key to continue (exit).Here is the code:

I am trying to create a simple interface on console to allow to input some values to some variables. For ex:

I have am having a bit of trouble with a baisc calculator that I am writing for my intro to programming class at Uni. We are using the C programming language. The program is supposed to be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. It is also supposed to return certain messages if an error has occurred. This is how the program is supposed to perform:

In my calculator, I am trying to make it so that you put enter 1 to add, 2 to subtract, 3 to multiply, and 4 to divide. I am facing the issue of making it so that you must enter a number, however instead of it being any number, it must be 1, 2, 3, or 4, and if it is not any of those numbers, you must re-enter the number. I'm writing an addition and subtraction calculator that takes input as: 5+6-3+2. You should be able to add or sub as many numbers as you want. I want the while loop to stop when the user hits enter. I put the getchar() function to catch the and break the loop but it is also swallowing the '-' sign, which I want to use to subtract and is instead adding the numbers with "sum+=number". How can I get around that?

i'm trying to write a calculator. the user will enter the terms and they will be stored in arrays. i will be storing those terms in string arrays and then later turn them to double to work with them. but the user should be able to enter terms like sin(252) and the program should be able to recognize it and calculate it.

I created a C program that extracts some information from computer and displays it on screen. It is completed today and is going to be applied to startup programs of domain machines. It runs at logon and takes somewhat 5-10 seconds to finish execution. The output is shown on console screen & user can either close the window by clicking on 'x' or pressing 'Ctrl+c' during execution. How do i prevent both of these events?
Basically the most time consuming processes are

1st command is getting OS name,version and hotfixes installed.
2nd command gives me the date of updates installed.
I then filter out data & print required information only.

I am learning c because I want to get back into programming microcontrollers, which I previously did in assembly. I wanted to make something fairly tight in terms of program memory and RAM to show me an output in binary form. When you are troubleshooting a file register or serial interface when you can see the actual bit values (on a small LCD for a micro-controller) and compare it to a datasheet.
