C/C++ :: Read In String With Multiple Words And Numbers?

I am trying to read user input for recipe ingredients which must include a ingredient name, and may include a quantity and a unit. Example: Stone ground flour 2 cups or Sugar 1 Tbsp or Milk. The problem I am having is that the string gets cut off after a space when multiple words are used for the ingredient name.
for (Initializing; Boolean_Expression; Update) i'm tying to use the words instead of numbers to repeats ,already i changed( Initializing; Boolean_Expression and Update) it doesn't work ,all i got is just Numbers !!
Read in n, then n lastnames, and check to see if the first in the list is ever repeated again.Here's what I have so far:

I see the problem is that it lies within n amount of string that I am not going through every string to compare to the first one.How will do compare every string to the first one?
I am trying to read into a file that has something like
I have 5 apples and 9 bananas. Sam has 8 apples and 6 bananas.
and I need to replace the numbers with words. For example I need to change the "5" to five and so on. The problem is that im not sure how to access and then replace just the numbers.

I'm trying to make program that will read text from a file and show what words occur how many times. I'm trying to make it so that if a new string comes, it saves it into wlist[], and counts 1 to wcount[]. If the same word is there, it will just add 1 to wcount[]. The program will end when it gets to the end of a file.
I don't know the reason, but I can't get strcmp and strcpy to work. I had to put a pointer in curword, just to make it compile.
I have been given an assignment to make a code to read some text nd display all the words nd the number of times they appear in another file or as output without displaying the repeating words. I made the code but its not giving any output.
What I'm focused on is reading in the first three numbers which I already have with fscanf and then reading in BUY TICKET with the digit afterwards. My problem is that I don't know how to reach that part of the file without scanning in something I don't want to. Also, how would I scan the number after scanning BUY TICKET? Would it be something like using %s and %d right afterwards?
I have program that is supposed to read in a story from an input file and separate the words and output the lines on which the word occurs. It needs to read in another input file that has a list of words (1 per line) to ignore. i.e. skip them when running through the story. This is what I have so far, I've changed multiple things trying to get it running....
I've reached a point in "Jumping into C++" where I need to make a program that converts input numbers into their word equivalent.
So far I've made it work for numbers 0-9999. I've tried implementing 10000-99999 but there are problems with the order of the words printed (57865 would print fifty thousand seven thousand eight hundred sixty five). But besides that, the program is absolutely enormous (for me) and I'm wondering if it can be shortened. Keep in mind I can only use loops and if statements so far. Here it is:

I have a challenge to replace all the words "you" in a sentence that is entered by a user to "u". I have got this working but my code is also changing yourself to urself which it should not be doing.
I have a code able to import a file containing words and numbers to a linked list, but I also need to sort this linked list alphabetically. I've done research on this involving bubble sorting, but no explanationcan achieve this objective.

I got a homework that require to count number of words in a text file and also display the first and last 10 words of the text file to the console. I have finished the counter problem and now I struggle showing the first and last 10 words.

How do reverse every alternate words in a string that I read into my program:
e.g. The mouse was caught in a clothes peg. reversed (including the full stop) The esoum was thguac in a clothes gep.
I could program it to reverse the whole sentence. But no clue how to reverse certain words such as every even word. Do I need a function and/or loop to solve this?
