C++ :: School Project - Getting Current Date And Time
Dec 30, 2014I am doing a school project. The project basically is that it records the in and out time of an employee(of an particular company).The employee while checking in or out should enter a unique key generated specially for him so that no one else can check in and out for him.Then referring to the employees position( A worker or a manager or something like that) his total working time each day , for a week and a month is calculated. The company starts at 8 am and ends at 5 pm for 1st shift and for second shift from 3.30 pm to 2.30 am. Plus Saturday and Sunday off. Then after a month the program refers to the working time date stored in a file and calculates his pay(For workers its per hour salary and for managers it aint).
If an employee is consistently late the details are forwarded to the HR account( so that necessary steps are taken).This will support the company log the details of their employees duty time plus give enough detail to take action if someones always late. I'm doing this as a school project and it needn't be of enterprise class and all.. But i want the coding to perform as it should. Also i'm forced to use the old Turbo C++. Now i'm struck in the place where the time of the employees in and out time is logged. This coding does the work

C++ :: Program Which Takes Date And Time Input From The User
Jan 20, 2013I am writing a C++ program which takes date & time input from the user. This is then parsed into a struct such as:

short year;
short month;
short day;
short hour;
short min;
};
My question is: how can I convert such a struct into a time_t object, which is an unsigned long giving the time as the number of seconds elapsed since the epoch Jan 1st 1970, 00:00, as set out in time.h.
I am wondering if this can be achieved using the standard library, or whether I just need to write a function to perform the appropriate arithmetic.

Feb 2, 2013The first time my application opens up, it should get the local date out of the System and store this in a registry key. But the second time it should get the date stored in that registryKey and compare it to the date right now.And there is where I am stuck, I just don't know how to get the date out of that key and compare it to the date right now.

Mar 22, 2015I need to take the system time and turn it into this format: 03:20 PM, Tuesday March 17, 2015. I am suppose to use 3 enumerators for the day of the week, the month, and AM or PM. I am having a lot of trouble with converting the system time to year, month, day, hour and minute. I also know there are a lot of functions that would make this more than simple, but I have to do the calculations and use enumerators. Here is what I have so far:

in the csv file, as above, after every 12 to 13 increment of i there is a skip of 15ms to 16ms. I do not understand why the ms is not a uniform increment. Is there another way I can get a uniform increment of ms?

When I run the following code, nothing displays in the listview.
If I rem out line 4, then the list populates with all the fonts, but of course, in the default listview font.
I thought I read somewhere that each item in a listview can be set to a different font.

After an unknown amount of data has been entered, and the end-of-file has been reached, I have to display the highest temperature and the time(s) it occured (bear in mind that the highest temperature may be recorded more than once). The output of that part should be as follows:
Highest temperature: 51
Recorded at time(s):
22:45
2:27
Something like that. The time should also be converted to hours and minutes. To the point: I've done some research on bubble sorting, but they only use it for arrays.
