C/C++ :: Converting Matlab Struct To Mex

Jul 24, 2014

I have a struct that I'm writing in C and need to use a mex function to use it in matlab. The struct was originally in matlab and need to have the variables:

force = feval(forcing, Euler, Euler.x(:,k));
q = squeeze(q(:,k,:)/>/>);
q0 = squeeze(Euler.q0(:,k,:)/>/>);
nx = Euler.nx(:,k);% normal vector
J = Euler.J(1,k);
rx = Euler.rx(1,k);
qh = reshape(qh(k:k+1,:)/>/>,[],1);
k = k;

The mex function I have come up with is:

#include "mex.h"
/* Extract local info for element k */
/* local struct */
typedef struct {
double force;
double q;

C# :: How To Use Code Or Generate DLL In Matlab

Feb 20, 2014

I have an application thats has been coded in C#. After build it generates a standalone dll file and the exe file.

I want to use this code in Matlab. I found out from this page that I can load the C# classes or codes into Matlab.

dll_in_matlab = NET.addAssembly('location to the dll file)

I have the code and the application buty unfortunately I do not understand C# at all. So after using this command I was able to see a .NET object in my workspace and this is what I got for its properties and its classes:

evmaps =
NET.Assembly handle
Package: NET
Properties for class NET.Assembly:
AssemblyHandle
Classes
Structures
Enums
GenericTypes

This is the application it produces: [URL] and here is the virustotal result for my application just to ensure that its clean. [URL] .....

C++ :: Error When Translating Function From Matlab To C

Jul 1, 2013

I have en error translating a function from Matlab to C/C++ :

Code:
radius(floor(rows/2+1),floor(cols/2+1)) = 1;
% Get rid of the 0 radius value at the 0
% frequency point (now at top-left corner)
% so that taking the log of the radius will
% not cause trouble.

What I did is:

Code: radius[rows/2][cols/2]=1;

I m sure it s there the problem, because before this line I can print what I want and I can see it at run-time, but after this line I can not print nothing and the work is like blocked. Do you know the error?

C/C++ :: Sizeof (struct) Returns 6 More Bytes Than Actual Struct Size?

struct {
char ID[10];
char Name[40];
int Pos;

[Code] .....

I was attempting something weired with address to move data around when I discovered that the size of the array is not what I expected. I am passing this structure as &Users to a function that declares it as a void *, then I can deal with chunks of data (memmove) and not have to worry about index or things like that. However...sizeof is returning something I do not understand.

from.UpperCase();
int db = 0, dB = 0, dBEnd = tSize, dBLast = ( tSize - 1u ), dbEnd = dBEnd * 8;

C++ :: Converting Char To Hex

Nov 8, 2014

Having trouble converting char to hex.

according to here [URL] ....
ô in decimal is 147 and print ô using alt 147

and here [URL] ....
ô in dec is 244 but prints ⌠ using alt 244

put on console

char c = ô;
cout << (int)c << endl;

prints -109 and print m using alt -109

I am using alt to test char output. Why I'm getting a negative value? Which of the tables are correct? I have string of char that I want to print in hex. I get a hex string but the hex value don't correspond to any of the two tables on the websites because the console converts special char to negative values.

C++ :: Converting CString To Int?

May 16, 2013

I am having problems with converting a CString to an int and than doing checks on the int to see if it is in a particualr range.Below is what I am doing.

CString numstr = "28"
int num = atoi(numstr);
BOOL valid = TRUE;
if(num < -32,768 {
valid = FALSE;
}

For some reason when running the above code the if statement is executed but it should not be becasue 28 is not less than -32,768. Why this is happening, I am not seeing the reason for this at all!! The num variable is being assigned the correct value.

Code:
std::string CSqlLiteDatabase::GetNext() {

C++ :: Converting Object To Different Class

Jun 22, 2014

Sandy is of class Person, who converts to Muslim and takes on a new name Fatima, and has all the attributes of Sandy, with new Muslim attributes (e.g. religion == Islam, etc..). At this point, Sandy can be deleted, and Fatima, now of class Muslim will play Sandy's role henceforth. The problem is that due to her new address, all the people who knew Sandy does not know Fatima. Manually changing Sandy's address to Fatima's address for all those people who knew Sandy is clearly not an acceptable method. I looked through all the design patterns and cannot find one to solve this problem. how to improve the design? Here's my simplified code showing the problem:

#include <iostream>
#include <string>
#include <typeinfo>
class Person {
std::string name;
Person* bestFriend;

[Code]...

Output:

sandy = 0x32658, 6Person
Mary's best friend is Sandy.
fatima = 0x23fec0, 6Muslim
Mary's best friend is Sandy.

Of course, we want to have: Mary's best friend is Fatima,. with mary->getBestFriend()->getReligion() == Islam, etc... How to redesign the whole thing so that this is automated (assume there are thousands of people who know her)?
