Jan 15, 2013Opening large files in c++. In my application, i am trying to save video as long as users have space in harddisk. What I am trying to do is when user is recording video i am trying to append the video data in to the file. The problem is that every time file size reach over 2GB my software crashes.

Oct 28, 2013I have been working with video files and my task is open a video file, get it copied into another file and then changing into binary format. after getting few bits inverted, changing back it into ascii formats. Original video contains normal and extended ascii codes. Unfortunately, i got stuck at first step, whole video file is not being copied. i have written a piece of code that copies the whole word/ any text file but the video file is not fully copied as just 5KB out of 119,659 KB are copied.

When I view a .mp3 file for example, there are many characters there that are not available to be used in my string to encode.

I have this code set up in my project, and all I want is to be able to give the location of any file and have it encode (could just encode to a string, I can handle writing it to a file), and then give a location to put the decoded file as well.

So I need to make this program run every minute and convert the concentration in to the AQI readings.
The filename is of the format "ES642_2013-11-09.dat", where ES642 is the software name of the machine, and rest is the year, month and day. The code here is just for the file reading section:

someone told me to download the latest source and build that so i did, by unzipping it, cding to the source, running ./bootstrap.sh, ./b2, and finally ./b2 install. when i compile i get no errors but when i run it i get ./jade: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_regex.so.1.55.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
