program in which i have to write a code in c++ to print a periodic table and when any of its element is clicked, it will show the basic details of that particular element. also, use of graphics is required.
I'm writing a periodic table program to understand classes. I want to be able to display/sort the elements by several properties such as whether it's a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid. I'm not sure hwo to do it, but my first guess was to create an array of objects; however, I'm having problems using my constructor to set the values.
Class class Element{ public: enum class groupNames { HYDROGEN, ALKALI, ALKALINE, GROUP_THREE, GROUP_FOUR, GROUP_FIVE, GROUP_SIX, GROUP_SEVEN, GROUP_EIGHT, GROUP_NINE, GROUP_TEN, GROUP_ELEVEN,GROUP_TWELVE, GROUP_THIRTEEN, GROUP_FOURTEEN, GROUP_FIFTEEN, CHALCOGEN, HALOGEN, NOBLE_GAS,
I am trying to set a variable of type char equal to an element in an array of characters. For example:
char data[4] = "x+1"; char element; element = data[2];
This seems like a logical progression from number arrays, but when I print both element and data[2], I get data[2] as expected, but element gives a different character every time (I assume a garbage value).
So I have linked list and function which deletes element if next element is bigger, so my code is working but its not working with first element, in the comment I have wrote code which I would code for checking that first element, but when ever I check it is blowing up all program.
#include <iostream> using namespace std; struct llist { int x; llist *next;
I am having an issue with my sort function. This is one part of the Hash table program. The main issue is that I am trying to sort the pointer table after all of the values have been entered. The ptr_sort function is not a class function and so I am therefore unable to use the class variables psize and pTable. Is there another way I should be trying this? it is a Vector should I use the sort() function from the vector class in STL?
If a user enters a string of boolean algebra it will ouput the table.
I have input parsing, cycling through the combinations, and outputing working. However once i parse the input I am not sure what to do with it. I have thought of having it write the parsed input to a new file as a function and then use that function, but that seems bad.
How to dynamically create the function, how to implement it.
BTW This is a console function, if that changes anything.
1) Count the number of rows in the table booking that are open and where the booking.postcode is "MK",
2) Take a note of the plot (in booking.plot_id), and then update the table plot.jobs with the value count.
For example running the SQL query when booking table has the following rows:
Would see the following highlighted values in plot.jobs being updated to 1:
I managed to resolve it with this code so far (note I am using Connector/Net):
public void RefreshPlot(){ string query = "SELECT Count(*) AS count, plot_id FROM booking WHERE postcode='MK' AND status='open' GROUP BY plot_id"; var cmd = new MySqlCommand(query, _connection); var da = new MySqlDataAdapter(cmd); var dtCounts = new DataTable(); da.Fill(dtCounts);
[code]....
Currently, my code only checks for existing rows in the booking table and updates the plot table. However if the row gets deleted in the booking, then the changes are not reflected in the plot table.
Example: If we delete the row with plot.id=1 and plot.plot_id=4, then booking.plot_id should go back to being 0, if it was initially 1. At the moment, it doesn't. How would I update my SQL statement to better reflect this? In a sense, it should check for "non-existent" rows, i.e. the impact that the row plot.plot_id=4 & plot.id=1 has on booking.plot_id when deleted?
I have a C# .NET Application which get data from QuickBooks via the ODBC Driver and save the result to C# data table. So, I want to transfer this data table to a mysql table on my own server. That's the code I use:
using System.IO; using MySql.Data.MySqlClient; //Add mysql dll on the .NET Tab in Project's references string connStr = "DSN=QBTest;"; string myServerAddress = "192.168.0.243"; string myDataBase = "CostTest";
I have a global list that contains smaller lists of char arrays. I have an issue where when I'm reading back the inner lists the last element of one list seems to point to first element of the next.
So my data looks like the below (values separated by commas with the pairs separated by tabs. The last pair in a line is the same as the first). When I read the first list back instead of seeing "456.678,678.98" as the last element in the list. I see "435.67,234.98" twice: at the end of the first list and start of the other. I have debugged when the list is populated and can see the correct values going in so I can't figure what's happening.
obstacle_list = op_prg_list_create(); while (fgets(line, sizeof(line), obstaclePositions_traj_file) ) { token = strtok(line, " "); //Pull the string apart into tokens using the
I have an std list of type double.. and the list is always guaranteed to have just 2 elements. I need to get the value of element 2 minus element 1. What is the least amount of code to accomplish that?
I tried this:
Code: list<double> dList; dList.push_back(1.0); dList.push_back(2.0); list<double>::iterator iter = dList.begin(); list<double>::iterator iter2 = dList.end(); double result = *iter2 - *iter;
I've made a code to check whether or not a save file has been created correctly, but for some reason it always returns this line: readdata[qa]=='1' as true. in which qa is the counter I use in a for loop and readdata is a character array consisting of 50 characters that are either 0, 1 or 2.
this is the entire code:
#include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> using namespace std;
[Code]....
at first is also went wrong at line 22 and also returned that as true, but then I added brackets and it worked.
I am trying to concatenate two words from a file together. ex: "joe" "bob" into "joe bob". I have provided my function(s) below. I am somehow obtaining the terminal readout below. I have initialized my memory (I have to use dynamic, dont suggest fixing that). I have set up my char arrays (I HAVE TO USE CHAR ARRAYS (c-style string) DONT SUGGEST STRINGS) I know this is a weird way to do this, but it is academic. I am currently stuck. My file will read in to my tempfName and templName and will concatenate correctly into my tempName, but I am unable to correctly get into my (*playerPtr).name.
/* this is my terminal readout joe bob <- nothing is put into (*playerPtr).name, why not? joe bob joe bob seg fault*/ /****************************************************************/ //This is here to show my struct/playerInit
I have a file which contains a year and the name of an associated file to be read. I need to extract the data in the txt file and perform some calculations.
( year data file) 2004 2004data.txt 2005 2005data.txt 2006 2006data.txt
Here is what I do. I first declare "char yeardata" and then pass "2004data.txt" to it. Then I call yeardata in ifstream to extract the data inside the file "2004data.txt". The problem is that char yeardata is not constant so I cannot pass the file to it. It doesn't work if I change "char yeardata" to "const char yeardata".
Code: int oldnewcomp_temp(char* lcfile) { using namespace std;
I'm making my first steps in STL, and I have a few question:
Is there a way to get an iterator to the i'th element in the collection (set or list), instead of just to the end or the begin?
And another question: Let's say I have an iterator, pointing to some element in my collection, and I use erase() (which takes as parameter an iterator that points to the soon-to-be erased element), what happens to that iterator? will it now point to NULL?
My code has been acting odd. I made a function that layers my art resources but only the last tile of my art resource acts the way it should. My character goes behind and in front of the last tile and gets printed correctly. Strangely its really exclusive to the last tiles I print. What I need is to figure out in step by step order what going on with my code sample below and be able to layer the resources.
Here is a small sample of my main function. This is how I do my rendering.
Code: Int main (int arc, char* args[]) { //Move class Move character; //Class Tile & Side Tile Tile *tiles [TOTAL_TILES];
