I have a Gridview ,in that one of the Column is DropDownList .I have 10 Records in my Grid and my DropDown Values are like this 1,2,3....10.This is the format to store my DropDown values ,if i delete 4th Row ,then my DropDown Values are Changed like 1,2,3,4....9.This is my task ,but i'm getting this format 1,2,3,--,5...10.
View 1 Repliespassing selected row in gridview to my dropdown. I have 1 gridview, 1 textbox and 1 dropdown list box. My dropdown is populated by SqlDataSource from my table Country. On my gridview, I have 3 columns, which are SELECT, NAME and COUNTRY. Under SELECT column, I have my hyperlinked Select, every time I clicked on a certain row NAME will pass in textbox (no problem with that), but in my dropdown it does not populates the COUNTRY that I choose. For example, I have Jack for name and USA for country. Beside Jack and USA, I have a hyperlink Select, when I click Select, Jack will display on my textbox and supposed to be USA will display on my dropdown but not displaying instead it says an error "'cboCountry' has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items. Parameter name: value".
I have tried the codes below:

With the btnRemove codes above, If I clicked it, it'll remove all values in my gridview even the unchecked rows, what I want is that just the checked rows not all. And are there any other simple way of removing rows in a gridview than using checkbox? I am using c# with asp.net.

My assignment for class was to create a Student ADT. I have three files. First one is Student.h which defines a Student record and has the prototypes of the functions that can be used with Student. I have Student.cc which is where the functions are actually declared. And my final file is testStudent.cc where the "main" function is that is creating a Student and callign all of the functions to make sure they work properly.
I have all of the functions working properly, except for my destroyStudentRecord function. It is supposed to deallocate the record, but I am unsure of how to actually do this. The current implementation appears to only deallocate the firstName field, as when you display the record after deallocationg it, everything still shows up except the first name. I have tried deallocating each field of the record before deallocating the record itself and that gave me the biggest list of errors I have ever seen.
I realize the implementation of some things in here might be a bit odd, but this is exactly how we are required to do things for this assignment and nothing about the implementation can really be changed unless something is actually just plain wrong(which is of course a possibility as I am quite new to this!). As I said though, everything else is working exactly as it should be, so my only issue at all is with actually deleting the record once I have created one.

I am need to compare 2 items from 2 separate drop down lists. These values are of int type. Say for example 2 drop down lists showing years. Now i need to find out these 2 years selected is greater or nearer to the current year.
I tried converting the values i receive from the drop down lists to int variables. But i am getting error then. I gave it like below.

this gives an error like this - Input string was not in correct format.
I need to know how to put an item from a drop down list to a variable of int data type.
I have created a form (in ASP.NET and C#) which have 5 dropdown
1.3rd dropdown fill on the basis of 1st n 2nd dropdown value
2.5th dropdown fill on the basis of 4th dropdown value
I applied onselectedindexchanged event on 2nd and 4th dropdown and both are autopostback true.All values come according to the requirement.
Problem is when I select a value in 3rd dropdown and it becoming change when I select some value from 4th dropdown.
In my project i need to update the attn_dateTimeOut in database.After i updated it will automatic delete the specific row record that had been updated. I had two question:
1) in my database there are a few table is assign not null."attn_dateTimeOut" is a table that haven insert any record. When i update it using below code,it work and can update but it comes out error.Error show "record cannot be null".
2) I want t make it when i updated the "attn_dateTimeOut",it will auto delete the row of updated record.I do usign back code "DeleteRecord" but it nothing change!How should i do?

Data is displaying in grid view but when i enter the particulars it's not inserting in to DB & grid view.
I'm trying to find a way to remove an item that has been dynamically added when I change my drop down list selected user. The way this works is I add an edit and delete button dynamically when I select a user. I need to have the existing one be removed when I change users. Here is the code I'm using to build the two buttons. How do I remove them? Do I wipe out the columns and then add the columns again?

Ihave a gridview which populated via selected item on my drop down list which I don't have any problem with that. My problem is I am trying to save multiple rows on my gridview into my database, for example I have added 3 items on my gridview which looks like this:
