i am trying to write a program to get a number from user and then print even numbers as well as 0,2,4 and so on.what changes i should do ?
PHP Code:
# include <iostream> using namespace std; int main () { int n,i; cout << " Enter number "; cin >>n; i = 0; while ( i%2 == n) { cout <<i<<" "; i = i+1; } system ("PAUSE"); return 0; }
A prime number is a number greater than 1 which is only evenly divisible by 1 and itself. For this assignment you will find which numbers from 2 to n (where n is a user-specified number) are prime. Ask the user for a number, n, greater than 2. Keep asking for a number until a number greater than 2 is provided. Assume that the user will only enter numbers (that is, you do not need to check if a user enters text).
Use a loop to iterate on a variable, i, from 2 through n. For each iteration, check all numbers from 2 through i to determine whether the number is prime. If it is prime, print out i and the word "Prime". Use the modulus operator, %, to determine if a number is prime
Example output:
Please enter a number larger than two: -939 Please enter a number larger than two: 2 Please enter a number larger than two: 20 2 Prime 3 Prime 5 Prime 7 Prime 11 Prime 13 Prime 17 Prime 19 Prime
This is what I have so far. I suppose i'm not really understanding how to continue with the second for loop. The first one just prints out a list of numbers from 2 to the number designated by the user. In my case that variable is user_input.
Find all the prime numbers between a given pair of numbers. Numbers should be read in from an input file called "numbers.txt" and find all the prime numbers between them. Store the prime numbers in an array, then sort the array from greatest to least. Display the array before and after the sort.
I'm stuck on how to put the prime numbers into an array.
The input file has the numbers 1 & 100.
Here's what I have so far.
#include <iostream> #include <fstream> using namespace std; int main() { ifstream fin; fin.open("numbers.txt");
where *toOrigList is a pointer to a list and *answer is an array of lists. intListType has several member functions and I will post them if you want them, but for the most part they are barely used in this function (which is not a member function). I'm having trouble outputting the permutations because the program keeps crashing. I cannot change the specification of the function. Anyway, here is what I have of the function so far:
#include "allPerms.h" #include <string> #include <cstddef> #include <iostream> using namespace std; void allPerms(intListType *toOrigList, intListType *answer) //Pre: list is not empty //Post: computes all permutations of a given list
I'm have troubles with this program that requires me to make a search through a Linked List and find a specified value. It also needs to be a template function. I've completed the rest of the program fine and everything runs ok except for the search function. Code below:
I wrote some code for class to find prime numbers.The teacher says that I need to revise my code with the requirement below: use a bit array to store the prime number checking. The bit array will also be in the heap. Use the max value of an unsigned 32-bt integer (UINT_MAX) to be the maximum size of the prime number you want to check.
I have the random values down but when I try to assign randValue to another integer I get an error.I want to make an inner loop where I find 5 random number 50 times and print the average of those numbers.
I know I have the bare bones of the below, but without giving me a huge shove in the right direction can I have a poke? I have been programing for three months now. I have noticed when I do simple fun projects I learn more then what my professor assigned to me. The class is over but I want to keep building.C++ starts in one week...
if i have two integers, say number1 and number2, stored in arrays where each index is a digit of the number (i.e. if my numbers are 321 and 158, then number1 = {3,2,1} and number2 = {1,5,8}), can i find the remainder of number1/number2? assume number1 > number2.
I made a program that is suppose to receive 20 numbers or less and find the average, then show all numbers entered but my average does not show. It shows as 0 and a line pops up after every number returned. I am stuck and dont know how to fix the logical errors.
#include <iostream> #include <cmath> using namespace std; int main() { float num[20]; int amount_num;
I am very much new to C programming. However, I have an assignment regarding linked list.
Problem Statement is: Using linked list store the coordinates of four cartesian points and then find the coordinates having longest distance from its origin.
I have a text file that needs to be read by command line arguments. The text are all numbers and can have multiple numbers on one line separated by a space. I cannot use an array or sort the numbers.So say I have a text file, listNums.txt:
12 473 8 29 30 1 8 248 17 55 29 84 5
Basically I need to read one number, find out if its odd or even by dividing by 2, search the odd or even doubly linked list that it would go into to see if its in there, if its not then add it to the bottom of the list.
im using a for loop to find the index values of the tied high scores and store them into string list then reference list in the second for loop to output it to screen however it isnt letting me use an array with index i as an index its self.
void printHighest(Student s[], int length){ int index; string list[10];//you're never going to have more than 10 people with a tieing highscore. index = findMax(s, length);
[Code] ....
For the time being I simply removed the idea of string list and just put the contents of the second for loop into the if statement above it. However, I am still curious as to if I can reference an index of an array in an index of another array.
I'm working on a silent auction program that will scan a file and find the highest from each group of bids, then have a running total of money made throughout the auction. I'm pretty sure the rest of my code works, i'm just getting stuck on finding the largest number from the line in the file, saving it, then moving to the next auction.
input file text (first number is num of auctions, after that it's num of bids, then the bids):
Sample Output Auction 1 sold for $500.00! Auction 2 sold for $700.00! Auction 3 sold for $300.00! Auction 4 sold for $920.00! Auction 5 sold for $50.00!
The silent auction raised $2470.00 for charity!
Code: # include <stdio.h> # include <stdlib.h> # include <time.h>
