My professor asked my to make a program that makes the "FCFS","SWJ" operations using any programming language actually i preferred c++ i like it more than java so i started in it but i'm facing a little problem ,,, which is i cant enter multiple inputs with a space tabs between them if this possible , for example : i want to get the arrival time and execution time from user
arrival (spaces " ") execution >> i want the input be like this

I'm fairly new to C++ and have been understanding until Ive hit this rock. Im trying to figure out how to indicate whether or not a first command line argument interpreted as an integer is a multiple of the sum of its own digits. I understand that logic as if you type 20 = 2(2+0) where 2 is a multiple and 3113 = 8 which is not a multiple but i feel hopeless trying to set it up. And here is my code.

I've been stuck on this for hours, and have scoured the internet for any insight on this particular issue with no luck.
I'll simplify the problem here. I have a lines in an input file:
John Smith 1234 Main St New York
Carol Thomas 5678 5th Ave Columbus
...
and I am reading into character arrays using code like this:
infile.getline(name,20);
infile.getline(street,15);
infile.getline(city,10);
but when I print the output using something like this:
outfile << "Owner Name: " << name << endl;
outfile << "Address: " << street << city << endl;
(let's pretend I included spaces between the address components, which I omitted to save space)
I get an output file of:
Owner Name: John Smith
Address:
The output stops after the name variable, which I believe is stored correctly. I don't think anything is storing in the address pieces, this is the problem.
I think it's because I'm not using getline() properly in this case. Can you string together multiple getline()s like that?
If this was my design, I'd read in strings instead, but that is not possible in this case.

My question is on c++ strings. At the moment my program is reading input in one line at a time after the user presses enter.

So I have this text file that I am trying to read from and store the values of each line in multiple variables. Let's say my text file contains
AXSYZ3482 Tom 100 112 and my code below here works fine when the lines in the text file is separated by spaces.
Code:
while (fscanf(fp, "%s %s %d %d
", userID, name, &startLoc, &endLoc) != EOF) {
printf("%s %s %d %d
", userID, name, startLoc, endLoc);
}
But let's say my file was to look like this instead.

I am trying to read a file line by line and then do something with the informations, so my method looks like this:

1) The first complain of valgrind is at the line where I use fgets and its telling me (invalid write of size x), but I have allocated my line to 56000 and the read line is shorter, why is there a write size error then :S?
2) at the line where I realloc where I try to shrink the space he's telling me: Address .... is 0 bytes inside a block of size 56000, But I know i need only this space so why is there a write over space error :S??

So I'm reading a file line by line and storing it backwards into a list. So if the file has has this format...

4
The code should store each line in a list as such...
4, 3, 2 ,1
Instead the code will store the last variable in all nodes. So the final list will look like this...
4, 4, 4, 4
Here is my code...

I need to read a text file which has various lines containing integers. I need to write those integers separately in a vector. Example, the first line of the text file contains 3 9 8 7 6 so vector[4]=3, vector[3]=9, vector[2]=8 and so on. Next read the second line 4 1 2 3 4 5 and write to another vector vector[5]=4, vector[4]=1...
I tried the code below but it will write from the second line, the whole line in one vector index.

Im trying to read from a file, line by line, with no specified number of values in the file. Check out my code:

Now, this works great! However, its skipping some lines. And I dont know why. For example: Lets say that the input file is:

Where it should output the above, instead it outputs every other one. Like:
superman toy
19.99
batman toy
25.99
aquaman toy
26.00
How can I fix my code so that it SIMPLY(i say simply because I am still a beginner coder) can read line by line?

I have to read the information about logic gates from a file. The file format is shown below:

As, it can be seen from the above structure that whitespaces are not same everytime. So, to deal with this situation, i am using boost library to remove all whitespaces from the line which is being read and then try to find the name of gate and its input. My code is given below which is able to correctly find the gate names and its first input...but my code is not able to find the second, third and so on input names.
