Sep 8, 2014I am working on expanding an array and my approach was to do this by copying the array into a bigger array. For this problem I cannot use vectors so what I did was the following:

std::copy(a, a + 5, temp);
delete [] a;
a = temp;
Is this approach correct, also how could I implement this on a program to expand an array to double its size or could I not use this to expand an array to double its size?

Baidu.com is a search engine that tries to discourage people from using their web site to make metasearch engines by hiding their links in a way that is a lot like how tinyurl.com works. TinyUrl.com is a web site where, if you want to present someone with a link to something and that link is long, you can use tinyurl to produce a tiny url for presentation purposes.
Anyway, what I want to do is to find a way to programmatically take the link [URL] (the first link in a search for Jessica Alba using baidu.com) and have it return the actual link, [URL] . That is just one example. What I want to do is not specific to Jessica but for using Baidu.com as part of my group of search engines in my meta search eneing project.
Maybe there is a way of using the WebBrowser class but I did not see a member that was the URL.
Maybe there is a way of using WebRequest and WebResponse.

Dec 15, 2014I'm trying to create custom WPF control, similar to DataGrid. DataGrid was great as a base class for a different custom control I needed, because I could do something like this:

What I'm interested in is: how does DataGrid "tell" the columns in Columns collection, to have the type of ItemsSource bound collection as a DataContext? How does the Name property of Person class become available to the column in DataGrid.Columns?

In the C# program I prepared a DataGrid (not a DataGridView) for the data to be shown in it using a button "Load Table". Now I just want to read a table which has 4 different columns which I also added to the DataGrid.
I have a DataAccessDB class and this is the code for establishing a connection:

Then, there is a code to reference controller:

C# :: Datagrid Not Updating Styling After Refresh
May 21, 2014I have a datagrid, which has a column called Status. In the database, the field is a text field that can have the values up, down, or danger.
I needed to display the status as a "light" as per client request, so I have a StatusToImageConverter class that receives the status, and returns the proper image to display in the datagrid column. Works fine.
Now the issue I am having... I have a combo box above the datagrid for the user to filter the results if desired. The filtering works fine, but the newly displayed devices do not have their status light. In the Status column, nothing appears after the user filters. I think it may have to do with the fact that I am not re-initializing the datagrid, but just refreshing it? That's just my educated guess.
